General Info
BlueTranquility is best viewed at full-screen using a resolution of 1024x768 or higher with the ad banner area and
640x480 or higher without the ad banner area, but every section of the template will intelligently word wrap as needed
so it should be viewable on any resolution with or without the ad banner area. I tested this template on Firefox 0.9.2,
Internet Explorer 5 & 6, Mozilla 1.0, Netscape 6 & 7, Opera 7.53 and Safari 1.0, and it looks identical on all
these browsers.
There is now a 3-column version of this template which has a second sidebar on the right for news, updates, etc. You
can view/download it from my OSWD Information Page using the Site
Design link on the left.
Revision Info
BlueTranquility was revised on January 9, 2005 only to fix another minor typo under the W3C Validations heading in the left
sidebar (thanks to Christopher Madsen for the catch) and to make some minor updates to the Credits page. Below is a list
of other revisions made in the past.
- Optimized the page margins and removed some derelict CSS classes
that were no longer being used.
- Entire template was overhauled to streamline the main stylesheet and each of the
HTML files, change the visited link color property, add a unique
page title in the browser's title area for each page, fix the sidebar resizing problem in IE5, and fix the infamous
IE Three Pixel Text-Jog bug...finally!
- A bad link to W3C in the Helpful Links section was
corrected.
- A minor bug in the temporary span properties in place of the 468x60 ad banner area was found by Ervin Farkas from
Atlanta (header area would "flip out" when the browser text size was set to anything larger than the default
setting). This has been corrected...good catch Ervin!
- Much of the content was streamlined to be as concise as possible.
- A few typos were corrected.
If you encounter any bugs not yet squashed in this template then email me and I'll do my best to correct them. Also
feel free to email me about this template with comments, suggestions, praise and/or criticisms in general.
